The Died (and Retired) Wolves

Beast High Healer, Scar (retired after Invasion of Albion)

Scar caught up to the warband in Albion, and proved to be most adept at healing magics, as well as forging for supplies. On the battlefield, with his spells exhausted, Scar would be found running around, collecting spent arrows to be returned to Sirok, whom he had taken it upon himself to ensure returned from the battlefield. The loss of both arms hindered this somewhat, and it took quite a while to have an arm healed, to allow him to continue to collect, although Sirok stil lives, so Scar accomplished his mission. Perhaps because of his physical injuries, hardship and pain, Scar decided not to accompany the warband further, and has retired to the Dire Lands.

Scar, injured but still going

Ogre Battlefield Medic, Gutz (Died, Invasion of Albion 1107)

After recieving his cousin, CusCus' armour, Gutz journied to Albion with the Wolves, venturing far from home. His minor skill with healing proved useful, although it was hampered by the armour he chose to wear. Gutz died in an attack outside the tavern, and help was unable to reach him in time. Given a full Dire Wolf funeral, his ashes now reside within the Death Urn, where we can commune with his spirit if the need arises in the future. His armour has been returned to his family, and may return to the warband.

Gutz deceased, with the Funeral Passage about to begin

Ogre Heavy Fighter/Healer, CusCus (Retired after Toller's Gambit 07)

CusCus was the embodiment of the classic Dire Wolf ogre; strong, but not always the sharpest tool in the box. On the same expedition to the Pole of Corporeal Energy, CusCus both single-handedly faced down three powerful Ithica, a lizardkin race from the Pole, and said these immortal words; "I'm not short on stupidity." CusCus had a bright future, although the pole seemed to sap away at his life, and he has now retired to Dire Lands, to aid the next generation of Dire Wolves with any skills they may need. His armour was passed to his cousin, Gutz.

Ranger of the Dire Wolves, Drift (Died, Renewal 06)

A little known commodity, Drift died before he could really become known in the Dire Wolves, so little can be said about him. All that was known, was he was a ranger, and seemed to be part tiger, so a possible relation to Dusk...

Head Scout of the Dire Wolves, Dusk (Missing, Return to Ernessmar 06)

A Half tiger Beastman, Dusk served as the eyes and ears for the Dire Wolves, and as such was the Dire main scout. He was skilled at identifying herbs, and as such was the Lead Forager. Little was known about his place of origin. Armed with a large bone club, he is protective of his privacy, and prone to disapearing with little warning. Still classed as missing in action, he is presumed dead, as Ernessmar collapsed into the ground, leaving no sign that Dusk had made it out alive. His skills with foraging will be greatly missed, and we hope, if he lives, he will find his way back from the distant lands.

High Healer of Dire Wolves, Skye (Died in Swarm Attack, Retribution 06)

Skye, a Beastman female, served the Dire Wolves as their Healer and spiritual voice, guiding them when a softer approach was needed, or serving as a second viewpoint. She hailed from the Forests of Sif, so was adept at identifing useful plants and herbs. Having survived the battlefield at Retribution, she was overlooked by the healers during a swarm attack on the Wolf Camp, which led to her unfortunate demise...

Human Ranger for the Dire Wolves, Aliaya (Died, Renewal 05)

A human, a rarity within the Dire Wolves, Aliaya served the Dire well, providing a source of herbal income for Sirok, until her untimely death on the battlefield at Renewal 05, proving humans are rare in the Dire Wolves for a good reason!

Disgraced aide to the Dire Wolves, Griffith (executed at Trade, 05)

Griffith was found washed up on the shores of Dire Wolf lands, apparently with no memory, after trying to swim in his armour... In return for saving his life, Griffith agreed to serve the Dire for one year. However, he was executed at Trade 05 by Dirran, agreed by Snogg and Rabeez, for causing a diplomatic incident, and disobeying a direct order from the Wolf 3i/c, Rabeez, whilst in a foreign land.
