The Grendels appeared to the wolves many years ago, and after a while it became apparent that they were not the fluffy creatures they pretended to be.....they were in fact the origins of the stories told to keep children quite at night., stories have to come from somewhere?.

While they have done many many acts to help the wolves in general in recent times the deaths of many people have been linked to them. Also the fact that Loki has declared them of his bloodline has raised other questions.

From the histories of the Grendel...

"Graknel, feeling she was losing hope once more, she went down to the Great Lake, and sat watching the stars and moon reflected in the water.

“Where are you?” she cried to the stars.

With a mighty roar she stood up and extending her claws to the heavens,

“I am Graknel killer on No-Thing, Mother to be of Grendel, I command the Spirits to bring me my mate!” Falling back to her knees Graknel looked out over the lake to see a giant wolf standing on the edge of the lake, his fur shining bright in the moon light.

“Come to me mother of Grendel!” ordered the wolf, his voice full of power.

Several moons later the cave of the Northen Pack were filled with screams of pain, as Graknel gave birth to a cub with golden eyes.

Within a year Grendel was fully grown. He towered over the other beasts, his strength was terrifying, and his speed unsurpassed, his temper unpredictable.

Upon his first birthday Grendel did challenge the alpha of the northern tribe, who smiled at Grendel, bowed his head and passed onto the Great Lake in the Sky. Grendel was now Alpha!

The pack of Grendel was born. ...."
