Bothvar

Lord Wolf
Lord High Magistrate.

Böjtelo hava
1109

Warning orders,

To the Warhost of Norsca

It has come to our attention that at last I have reliable information of the whereabouts of Svartelfheim.

Their fear and hatred of us has led the dhowgin, these so called Svartelves to attack us in deceitful cold blooded attacks. In the dark night, they have attacked us even though I have tried to treaty with them; I have even offered the hand of friendship. Not lightly do I offer this, and only once does the wolf offer its hand just as Tyr did.

The Svartelves believe so far they are winning this war, but in victory one does not understand the horror of war. It is only in the cold chill of defeat that it is brought home.

Now it’s our turn. There can be no reconciliation where there is no open warfare. There must be a battle, a battle of such ferocity, of such crushing totality that none but the mourners of the slain will be left to beg for mercy, and plead for peaceful treaties.

Bring your shields to the fore and put a step behind it into the gates of Mist in the Trollwall.

Bothvar, Lord Wolf.

About the Wolves in General - (What CP say)

Command Team
The Command Team :
As with all factions - the Wolves have a command Team comprising a Lord General (LG) - Bothvar, a second in Command  and third in Command
Within the faction - there are a number of groups - each with their own leaders and structures. Structures differ according to which group you belong to. Needless to say - each associates with the Wolves and normally fight a common enemy together.

Lo there do I see my Father,
Lo there do I see my mother, my sisters and my Brothers,
Lo do I see the line of my ancestors going back to the beginning
And they do call to me, and bid me take my place amongst them,
In the halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave shall live forever!

The Church of Norsca: IC institution

The Church of Norsca is/was an IC institution within the wolves which was open to any member of the faction who was essentially a "priest/shaman/devoted follower" of one of the gods of Norsca. Click here for more

White Wolves:
The White Wolf originate from Vorsgaard, Norsca.
Exiled from their original homeland, in battle they faced the then King of Norsca, who offered sanctuary and a home in return for loyalty after seeing such a small band square up to his army.
The White part of the name came from the fact that they were originally the most northerly band in the Wolf and lived often on the tundra of Northen Norsca and guarded the borders. Click here to read on...
Black Wolves:
The name Meleki is taken by all new Warmasters in honour of the first Meleki who lead the ancestors of the Black Wolves to freedom after enslavement by the dark elves, Malandanti
- Click here for the link to the Black Wolves
Ice Wolves

Much remains to be told of this group of Norscan Fighters from the Frozen North of Norsca

Dire Wolves

The Dire Wolves are a semi-Nomadic tribe from the south of Norsca. The group is predomidently Beastial in nature and appearance, with Beastmen, Ogres and Lizardmen filling their ranks. Some humans are found, but this is a rarity. Other races are accepted, although still uncommon.

Stormwolves:
The Stormwolves hail from the Isle of Myst. A newcomer will often mention that they are "lately from the Isle", or "recently arrived form the Isle". A very special place - it breeds a particular type of warrior, loyal, single minded and disciplined. Every Stormwolf has adopted an individual Incarna from the Aesir (the panoply of Gods)- believing in the strength of the whole rather than of an individual God.  Click here to read about the structures, thoughts, motivations of Stormwolves and meet the characters that make up the group.  (Also see below re Incarna - the Gods and Runes)
Ember Wolves:
I have no information on this section of the Wolves camp and invite them to send some information to be added
(You can follow this link but there is nothing there)
Crimson Wolves:

An interesting group - they should not really be here as they are not part of our faction. However - you will get very confused if you do not understand the peculiar presence of the Crimson Wolves, and their influence upon all our lives.
Lately - some information appears to suggest that this band may have not been fully understood!!

(here we see Loki himself with a familiar gesture of mutual respect and support)

Unaligned Wolves

A diverse group - more to be said in due course

The Verdai
Something or somebody wiped the land clean of the Verdai, and none survived. Or so it was thought.
The history of the Verdai, that ancient race of elves is recounted here
A current who's who is available in the Verdai Galleries - here
The Village

Wolf frydman refugees have begun arriving into the Warband from various villages and towns destroyed by Swarm, Giants and Greenskin imperialisation.
