 The Painted Men are an enigmatic clan of brightly
coloured madmen and women from the mountains somewhere in the deep south
of Norsca.
First seen at the renewal of 1097 they always turn up
when needed. Not much is known of the Painted Men apart from their
willingness for drinking, fighting and making friends ( mostly humanoid,
sometimes trees ).
Their ever changing coloured Tattoo's seem to have some
sort of religious symbolism to do with their main god Heimdal
but it is just another mystery to add to the web of confusion surrounding
them.
Their dress tends to be dark coloured leather kilts and
other non intrusive clothing, which tends to help with their battle
tactics as light skirmishers/ quick attack squads with a little corporeal
magic thrown in almost as an after thought...
Widely regarded among the Wolves and other factions it
has not been unusual to see the Painted Men rallying troops before
sprinting back into the heart of battle just to pop up in other much
needed positions to bolster moral or sing a quiet song to the tune of
flying arrows with not a care in the world but who'll be at the tavern
later.
