Vetan is not native to this plane; he
comes from another planar realm he calls SenZar. He says there are other
names for that plane known to other races.
The land he says he comes from was known to the rest of the world's
races as the Deathlands, and was ruled by a being known as Vel'Ssharn the
Necromancer.
The Demonian race is a bastardised hybrid between humans or elves and
greater demons; the Necromancer summoned many of the latter and simply let
them have fun with a large bunch of the former, knowing that at the end of
the deal he'd get himself a nasty looking army to do the conquering stuff
with.
As a result, the Demonians considered him a god. Vetan
is an nth generation Demonian (the race breeds true; they all look like
that) who had more morals and leanings towards justice and fairness than
his demonic brethren, which finally came to a head when he fell for a
human ranger who was his elder brother Lord Vedwyn's nemesis.
Firstly he turned traitor; an act which eventually got him caught and
thrown into a torture chamber for a few months. Then the girl in question
turned up, fought a duel with his brother and got paggered in front of his
eyes.
He escaped, tried to kill his elder sibling but failed; and for a
little while wandered the lands generally disrupting Demonian /
Necromancer activites either alone or in company.
Sadly it was while he was working with an adventuring party that he
and they got captured in a battle against his kind; as a punishment he and
his compadres were cast into a planar gate to be exiled forever from
SenZar to whatever fate awaited them.
It's not known what happened to the others but Vetan
ended up in the lands close to the Bastion (Bastion 2000 was my - and his
- first event). Since then he has joined the Wolves; he decided to
contribute his pure warrior skills to the White Wolves as their sole
fighter and is now a part of Ogrek's skirmisher / archer unit.
He has a twin brother called Casula, a Sentinel (an anti-paladin) and
an evil nasty piece of work whose favourite hobbies include torture and
drawing :)
